Seller Guidelines
These guidelines apply to all sellers on Vesh Nepal and are aligned with the Consumer Protection Act 2075 and Electronic Transaction Act 2063 of Nepal. Violation may result in account suspension.
What You Can Sell
Vesh Nepal is a fashion-only marketplace. Permitted listings include:
Allowed Items
- Pre-loved clothing (men, women, children)
- New or unused clothing with original tags
- Fashion accessories (bags, belts, scarves, jewellery)
- Footwear in wearable condition
- Traditional Nepali attire (Daura Suruwal, Gunyu Cholo, etc.)
- Formal, casual, and sportswear
Prohibited Items
- Counterfeit or fake branded goods
- Stolen or illegally acquired items
- Items banned under Customs Act 2064 (Nepal)
- Undergarments (for hygiene reasons)
- Items with offensive or illegal imagery
- Non-fashion goods (electronics, food, etc.)
Item Condition Standards
New with tags
Unused, original tags attached. No signs of wear.
Like New
Worn once or twice. No visible flaws.
Good
Gently used. Minor signs of wear. No significant damage.
Fair
Visible wear but fully functional. Flaws clearly disclosed.
Seller Obligations (CPA 2075)
Under Consumer Protection Act 2075, Sections 5–12, sellers are legally required to:
- Provide accurate descriptions and photographs of listed items
- Disclose all defects or flaws clearly before sale
- Honour agreed prices — no post-sale price changes
- Dispatch sold items within the stated timeframe
- Accept returns for items that are materially different from description
- Not engage in misleading advertising or deceptive conduct
Account & Listing Rules
- One account per seller. Duplicate accounts will be suspended.
- Profile photo must be a real photo of yourself or your store.
- All communication with buyers must remain on-platform.
- Price manipulation, shill bidding, or feedback abuse is prohibited.
- Sellers must respond to buyer enquiries within 48 hours.
