Terms & Conditions

By using Vesh Nepal, you agree to these terms. These terms are governed by Nepal's Electronic Transaction Act 2063, Consumer Protection Act 2075, and applicable laws of Nepal. Last updated: 01 January 2024.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Vesh Nepal, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are under 16, you may only use Vesh Nepal with parental consent.

2. Platform Role

Vesh Nepal is a peer-to-peer marketplace. We connect buyers and sellers but are not a party to transactions. Contracts of sale are between the buyer and seller directly.

3. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • One account per person. Duplicate accounts will be suspended.
  • You must provide accurate information at registration and keep it up to date.
  • You must not allow others to use your account.

4. Seller Obligations

  • Sellers must accurately describe all items, including defects, in compliance with CPA 2075 Section 8.
  • Sellers must dispatch sold items within the stated timeframe.
  • Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and any tax obligations arising from sales.
  • Counterfeit goods, stolen property, or prohibited items must not be listed.

5. Buyer Obligations

  • Buyers must complete payment for confirmed purchases.
  • Buyers must raise disputes within 7 days of receiving an item.
  • Buyers must not make false claims or abuse the dispute process.

6. Prohibited Content

Users must not post, list, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or violates any Nepal law. See our Restricted Items list.

7. Fees & Payments

Platform fees are as described on the Fees & Charges page. All prices are in Nepali Rupees (NPR). Vesh Nepal reserves the right to update fees with 30 days' notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

Vesh Nepal is not liable for losses arising from transactions between buyers and sellers, including non-delivery, item condition disputes, or payment issues between users. Our liability is limited to platform fees paid, to the extent permitted by Nepal law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lalitpur, Bagmati Province, Nepal, or as determined under applicable Nepal law.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via SMS or email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
